Luxe Remy was born from frustration, not inspiration. We are a mother and daughter team with over three decades of combined experience in the world of hair extensions, one of us wearing them for twenty five years, the other fitting them professionally for over ten. Between us, we have tried almost everything on the market, and we have lived through every disappointment that comes with it. Extensions that looked beautiful on day one and turned to straw after a single wash. Sets that shed, matted, or simply did not last the months they promised. Products marketed as premium that were anything but, once you looked closely.
After years of this, we decided enough was enough. We set out to source a product that actually delivers what it promises, every single time. That search took a long time, working directly with suppliers, testing samples, and rejecting far more than we accepted, but we finally found a hair extension we would proudly wear and fit ourselves. That is what became Luxe Remy.
We know our hair extensions sit at a higher price point than most, and that is not an accident. We source exclusively from remote, high-altitude communities in Yunnan, Guizhou and Sichuan. Hair harvesting here is a time-honoured tradition of mutual respect and fair trade. We work directly with local families — no middlemen — so every ponytail is voluntarily given, ethically compensated, and fully traceable to its origin.

Far from heavy industry, mineral-rich mountain springs, clean air and abundant sun give the hair its structural integrity. Natural strands with exceptional cuticle strength, a rich native lustre, and elasticity that processed hair cannot imitate.

Long before salon products, women here washed with a brew of fermented rice water, citrus peels and local mountain herbs — rich in amino acids, vitamin B and antioxidants. The hair grows thick and naturally smooth, without silicones or harsh chemicals.

A nutrient-dense diet of fresh produce, native grains and spring water, free from urban chemical dyeing and heat damage. The hair reaches the studio in its purest, most resilient state — ready for colour and daily styling for years.

Nature makes the finest raw material. Our work is to preserve it. No harsh acid-washing. No heavy silicone coatings. No mixed-donor blending. Hand-selected, precision-sorted, cuticles intact and aligned. What you wear is not just an extension. It is the hair, unvarnished.
The difference you feel
All lengths have an 80% volume, which means only 20% will be a slightly shorter length than the overall length, no less than two inches shorter — for example, if you order 24 inches, you'll get a minimum of 22 inches. No thin or wispy patches — rich, full thickness from root to tip. Standard double-drawn hair is typically only thirty to thirty-five percent volume. You will feel the difference the moment you run your hands through it.

Due to the purity of the hair, with the correct care it will last a minimum of 12 months, possibly longer. We always recommend using a professional technician to install the hair, as it's an investment worth protecting. For comparison, standard Remy hair typically lasts around six to nine months.
